ERASMUS+ STUDY ABROAD
The Erasmus+ programme allows students to study part of their full-time studies at a partner institution abroad instead of at their home institution. The partner institutions abroad at which students may complete part of their study requirements are those with which the FOV has signed an Erasmus+ Interinstitutional Agreement on student exchange.
Erasmus exchange offers students the opportunity to experience student life abroad, personal growth, increased employability, visibility, new experiences and, above all, a great deal of satisfaction.
Applicants may apply for the call if they meet the following basic requirements for obtaining Erasmus student status, as defined by the Erasmus+ programme:
- they will have active student status at their home faculty of the University of Maribor for the entire duration of their studies abroad;
- during their studies abroad, they will not exceed the maximum total duration of mobility (Erasmus+ study and traineeship).
Duration of mobility
Within the Erasmus+ programme, a student may participate in mobility for a total of up to 12 months at each level of study. During this period, the student may take part in study and/or traineeship and/or blended intensive programmes, possibly on multiple occasions.
According to a decision of the Senate of the University of Maribor, in order to be granted financial support during studies abroad, students must obtain at least:
- 10 ECTS credits for a trimester (3 months),
- 20 ECTS credits for a semester (6 months), and
- 40 ECTS credits for an academic year (12 months).
All details, procedures and necessary documents are published on the University of Maribor Student Mobility website.
